"April hath put a spirit of youth in everything" - Fit Training Blog for Women 40,50, and

"April hath put a spirit of youth in everything" said William Shakespeare

Do you feel it? The sense of newness, joy and exuberance? April starts with April Fool's Day and ends with the unveiling of bare toes dreaming of the promise of summer. I love it too!

It's time to spring clean your life to invite that youthful spirit back in. Here's a great list:

1. Clean your closets. If you haven't binged read The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up by Marie Kondo it might be the right time.

Cleaning your spaces, closet, kitchen and office files is the quickest way to feel light. Donate the items to others than can use your castoffs. It's a good deed all around.

2. Drink more water. The average adult human body is 50-65% water, averaging around 57-60%.

Grab a brand new cool water infusion bottles, toss in fresh berries and toast to your buoyant self! Really love the water?

Go swimming- the feel good effects are similar to the relaxation you get with a massage or meditation and will definitely queue up the booming summer vibes.

3. Spruce up your diet. Try new spices, check out the fresh veggies in your grocery store and actually make that recipe from Pinterest.

Host a salad social and have your pals bring healthy add ins and add ons and tease your palate with new flavors.

Finally, a big part of having a youthful spring, at whatever age, is to connect back to the fun you had as a child.

The memories of sunset baseball or biking after school turns back the clock like no other activity, and your spring/summer enthusiasm can be resurrected to suit your current life status with a few simple tweaks.

Need some help finding Your Spirit of Youth? Perhaps I can help. Enjoy the month!
